Glenn's Latest Musical
'Into the Circle - From Bullying to Belonging'

"Bullying affects all of us at some time in our lives....The music rivalled Broadway tunes I know by heart - melodies and lyrics that are memorable and toe tapping...The music and the message must be heard by a wider audience so that everyone of every age can have the opportunity of appreciating this shining, creative masterpiece."
                  Pat Ainsworth, Huntsville, Ontario

"Glenn Copeland is a gifted musician and writer.  His presentations always engage students at their level.  The original songs in the play are powerful and thought provoking.  Glenn's performance presentation of 'Into the Circle' lends itself to bringing parents and their children together and could be considered as an excellent opportunity to further promote parental engagement and meaningful conversations around this critical topic."
Kim Goodwin-Myers, Principal    Irwin Memorial Public School    Dwight, Ontario

The Ontario Arts Council recently awarded Glenn a grant to create a new musical about bullying. The musical drama emphasizes the healing power of community for all of us - children and adults. The characters, little forest animals, experience true empathy and compassion in the process of transformation from an environment that passively supports bullying to one that embraces and supports the best in each of us.

The Musical

Students will be encouraged to create the script dialogue in their own words as a language arts activity. It can incorporate as many artistic disciplines as possible, giving the students every opportunity to contribute their expressed or still undiscovered abilities and talents.

A Dramatic Storytelling Performance and Workshop

Glenn presents the story as a Dramatic Reading complete with music in a one man performance format animating all the characters from comedy to pathos with his verstile speaking and singing voice. After the performance he facilitates workshops to explore students' reactions to the characters, their challenges and triumphs.

Please contact us if you would like to discuss the possibility of having this musical or storytelling performance for your students or community.
